Recently our very own Peter Maurice and a team of others completed a Relay Swim of the English Channel, with Peter himself raising over £1,700 in aid of COSMIC Charity which supports the children’s and neonatal intensive care units at St Mary’s and Queen Charlotte’s Hospitals in London by helping patients and their families, and enabling their dedicated teams to treat hundreds of babies and children in intensive care each year.
Each member of the team swam 3x 1-hour stints over the course of 18.5 hours, finally landing in France at approximately 00:45hrs.
Well done, Peter!
Yesterday the Government published an update to the National Planning Policy Framework incorporating a range of measures which will improve communities’ infrastructure, champion neighbourhood design and support walking and cycling to boost health and wellbeing.
Further details are set out within the following Press Release:
We recently visited Colne FC to assist them with their ambitious redevelopment proposals as they seek to progress up the football pyramid.
It was a glorious evening for a spot of non-league football with Colne FC running out 1-0 winners over Hyde United.
Planning permission approved finally, I am certain it was your input when you asked for the refusal to be put into writing so it can go to appeal… well done & thank you again.

Sanderson Associates have been working for Blue Anchor Leisure on an exciting business park project in Doncaster, which could help create around 4,000 new jobs if approved.
An application has been recently submitted for the development at the 195-acre site next to Junction 4 of the M18 motorway, which is owned by Blue Anchor and has been branded West Moor Park East.
The development will be an extension of the existing West Moor Park commercial development that currently accommodates the likes of Ikea, Next, Fellowes Manufacturing, Anglo Beef Processors and other leading businesses.
We have provided advice on the transport infrastructure requirements for the project, which includes significant improvements to the local transport network, including extended bus services, high quality pedestrian and cycle infrastructure, as well as other major highway improvements at M18 Junction 4 and along the West Moor Link.
