Planning for and Development of Renewable Energy Projects
Free Breakfast Seminar – Grange Moor, Wakefield – Thursday 10th November 2011
Registration from 08:30; Session 09:00 – 10:00 – Refreshments Provided
The Government’s target of producing 30% of the Country’s power from renewable energy sources by 2020 places an important emphasis on the development of projects such as wind farms, solar power installations and bio-mass projects.
These developments are complemented by facilities which promote recycling as an alternative to extensive landfill. These include anaerobic digestion plants, waste recycling centres and biomass installations.
However, the planning system is fraught with difficulties including those relating to access, traffic, flooding and drainage issues and Sanderson Associates are holding a seminar to highlight how these issues can be dealt with before and during the planning process.
This brief seminar will provide a unique opportunity for local landowners, planning consultants, renewable development companies and financial providers to get together to discuss the issues facing us all.
The seminar will cover topics such as the feasibility of access to the development site, Transport Assessment, potential network improvements, Flood Risk and Drainage Design.
